Sunscreen

the fountain of youth

I have a serious problem with sunscreen.

Sunscreen is wonderful. To the uninitiated, this may seem like a non-issue. It is, however, the efficacy in preventing serious ails (photoaging, melanoma, horrible, blistering sunburns), which makes it an indispensable element of my daily routine. With this regular use comes 3 gripes:

1) It always gets in my eyes.

Have you ever had sunscreen in your eyes? It hurts.

2) GREASY.

I didn't know it was possible to be so reflective that distinguishable scenes could be made out in the glossy sheen of one's forehead, until I put on a "lightly moisturizing" sunscreen.

3) PALE.

In addition to providing more reflective illumination than the moon itself, I rival our great white planetoid in milky hues that fluoresce in ghastly fashion. The drawback to my skin's noble defender is that it leaves intact my natural sickly pallor.

These are the prices I've chosen to pay. That doesn't mean I won't complain.
